This luscious, natural, non-toxic body butter makes your skin feel soooo smooth and wonderful! Your skin will be thirsty for more!
Making your own skincare products can be easy, and the benefits of having all natural and non-toxic cream to put on your skin is so worth the time! Today, there are thousands of different chemicals used in our skincare product that are found in the market, and many of them are simply not safe for you. Think about it. Your skin is the largest organ on your body, and anything that you put on it is absorbed through the skin and into your bloodstream (and the rest of your organs). When using synthentic and coventional products, your body is absorbing all of those nasty chemicals! Yuck.
I started making my own products almost 10 years ago when I decided that I wanted to have a healthy body and keep myself disease free and independant for as long as possible. I have come up with many different kinds of products, but there are some so good I just make them on repeat. And THIS is ONE OF THEM!!!
This is a beautiful gift as well. Give it to friends for their birthdays and it makes a wonderful christmas gift as well!
This body butter is whipped to perfect perfection, only uses 3 super healthy and natural ingredients, and you can add what ever scent you want in, depending on your mood or the season. In the summer I opt for coconut or citrus, in the fall I go for grapefruit and rosemary, in the winter I go for peppermint or lavender! It is just amazing.

This is what you need to make Bodacious Body Butter
- Double boiler method (a pot of water with a glass bowl sitting on top of it)
- Hand mixer
- Jars to store the body butter
- Spatula
How to make Bodacious Body Butter
Start by getting your medium size pot, and fill water 1/3 of the way up. Then place a glass bowl that fits just enough so it doesn’t sink too deep and touch the water, but enough to seal in the steam that will warm up the bowl and end up melting your oils.
Add your Shea butter and oils to the glass bowl and the double boiler method will allow them to melt without burning. Be sure to keep your stove at about medium heat, because we don’t want the water to splash into our bowl.
Once it’s completely melted you will just take your bowl off the pot and set aside to cool down slightly before adding in your scents.
If you are using essentials, add in about 20-40 drops depending on how strong you like your body butter to be. I tend to go with about 40 drops as I like mine nicely scented! TIP: if you want a scent that is difficult to find in an essential oil, then use baking extract. YES baking extract. It works magically, and when I want coconut body butter, that’s what I use and it makes the cream smell soooo amazing!!
Refrigerate your bowl until the mixture becomes completely solid. Then you will use your hand mixer to it up! The more you whip, the fluffier it gets 🙂
Using a spatula, scoop into your jar of choice. I get mine from the dollar store!
This cream will last a very long time when stored in the fridge. This recipe makes about two jars, so if you want more, double up the recipe,.
Enjoy xxoxoxo
